Advocating for self-worth and betterment.
Through my journey of self-discovery, trials and error, I've learned spirituality is being intentional with my time and my words, taking the time to get to know the intangibility of others. Meet challenges head-on and be an advocate for yourself-- for someone who is underrepresented or doesn't have a seat at the table you are at. Believe in a greater hope and that a better way exists and is possible for yourself and others. Never give up because you don't receive validation

Debbie Petru

Blogger. Consultant. Coach. Cosmetologist. Follower of Christ. Wife. Mom. Daughter. Sister. Friend.

Debbie (she/her/hers) found her passion for writing and public speaking during her college years, growing her talents personally and professionally within the walls of her childhood church.  This experience was further cultivated by giving back to her community by serving youth ages 6 weeks through high school as a child development teacher and volunteer, arts academy assistant, Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, and pianist.

She now serves as a group mentor for middle school students and youth minister in her church. She keeps her cosmetology license active, giving haircuts and chemical services to friends and family with all hair types.  She hopes to one day return to expressing herself through acrylic paintings. She finds her energy and purpose in helping people discover, develop, and maximize their unique strengths and talents.

Debbie has been nothing short of fantastic to work with! Her enthusiasm for her work and her superb communication skills make her an instant asset to any team. As a relatively new employee, 5 years ago, Debbie quickly stepped in to teach and develop her peers while working in a very fast-paced, challenging environment. Now, as a training and development manager, I’ve seen her meet the changing demands of our industry and develop and implement new training classes to accommodate those demands. She has created numerous interactive lessons, using innovative approaches to engage and develop various employees across the company. Debbie has absolutely flourished since I’ve known her and I truly look forward to her continuous development.
"I had the distinct pleasure of working with Debbie over the course of the last year. Debbie's passion for serving our division was infectious. She was incredibly invested in crafting learning strategies at the division, department, team, and individual level. Debbie took on any task asked of her with tenacity and wasn't satisfied until it was crossed off of her list. She was trusted with projects that took months to pull together and led teams and committees at the center of our corporate culture. She built great relationships both inside and outside of Spreetail. Debbie always planned and advocated for her own personal and professional growth, and she was a prominent voice and leader in both the Professional Women Rising and Women in Tech inclusion groups. I would enthusiastically recommend Debbie and know that she will make a tremendous addition to any company lucky enough to have her."
I had the privilege of meeting Debbie when she was Director at Kindercare. Not only did she have drive, but she truly had a passion for the growth and development of each child there. She knew each child by name and parent, that meant so much to me as a parent dropping my child off each day. Her ability to lead and organize a center filled with both adults and children deserves recognition alone. She did a great job coaching the teams and took her role very seriously as a leader should. Great job Debbie.
I had the chance to work with Debbie through the Women's inclusion networks at Spreetail - Professional Women Rising (PWR) - as the Executive Sponsor and I have only good things to say about that experience. She raised the bar as part of the leadership team by bringing in topics of discussion that impacted not just how we work but how we think about issues that impact all of the inclusivity networks. She is hardworking, and dedicated to making impacts on meaningful work!
Debbie is one of those people that you wish you could work with everywhere your journey takes you. If I could give Debbie a title of my own, it would be "Chief Enabler of Awesomeness". From my first day at Spreetail to my last, I observed Debbie making Engineers' experiences better. From her coordination of monthly culture recognition to her relentless pursuit of providing the best onboarding, training and educational materials for Engineers throughout Spreetail, Debbie's influence was present. Debbie is what is missing in most Software & Technology divisions today: a highly skilled and passionate leader who is laser-focused on delivering the very best work experience for Engineers. If your organization is looking for someone like this, then stop looking. You've found her.
There are so many great things I can share about Debbie. We brought her on at Spreetail to ensure we continually raised the bar within our Technology Division. She was the very first Program Manager focused entirely on T&D within our Division and worked tirelessly to create the first programming for our team of over 200 technologists. She thrived in ambiguity and created an incredible education and opportunity extending from onboarding new employees through continuous improvement and education across all team members. Aside from the incredible results, Debbie was a pleasure to work with. Her astonishing passion is the first thing you'll notice. She has an incredible passion for the Training and Development space and works tirelessly to make those around her better. Anyone would be lucky to have a Debbie on their team. Her mark at Spreetail will be felt for many years to come!
Debbie is an amazing facilitator and leader. She has a passion for helping others learn and grow. She is detailed focused and delivers results. Debbie’s onboarding and training helped me connect with others and learn the business domain. She created small steps to help me process the content, ask questions, and learn. I highly recommend Debbie for any business looking for a leader to invest in their staff.
I had the pleasure getting to know Debbie through her work at KinderCare. My son attended their program, and he has special needs. Debbie was always very attentive to his needs, while never compromising the needs of his peers. Debbie also participated in a workshop series with me around nutrition and physical activity practices in child care and had much to offer the other participants in the collaborative with her knowledge and experience. I would recommend Debbie for account and project management as she is very dedicated to providing great service to those she works with.
I had the pleasure of working with Debbie while we both managed KinderCare Learning Centers in the Omaha area. Debbie was always very knowledgeable in her profession, and is a person that I would frequently call on for advice when I needed support. I would recommend Debbie to anyone looking for an intelligent, professional, and hard working individual.
I have not only been a colleague of Debbie's for many years, but a life long family friend since childhood. I am amazed at Debbie's tenacity to get the job done. She is loyal to the task at hand and professional to the letter. I've witnessed her ability to follow the leader as well as lead when called upon. I've seen her handle the most stressful situations..and people, under pressure and under deadline, like a champ. I live and work in Hollywood and would give my right arm to have a Debbie Clute as a member of my production company, as well as any project I'm working on. As a matter of fact, "Debbie...want to come to Hollywood?"
Debbie is very knowledgeable and professional. Her strong organization, project management skills are a tremendous asset. I have had many interactions with Debbie, over an 8-year period, and she has always displayed integrity and a very strong work ethic. She handled my inquiries in a timely manner and has demonstrated excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Debbie would be a great addition to your team. Please accept this as my strong recommendation for Debbie Clute.
I have known Debbie at GBT since our first child was born in 2007, when she was there as a volunteer. She was always a devoted, hardworking, and cheerful person to work with. She was great at maintaining communication with the parents in general, and would answer any questions we had without hesitation. GBT is a loving, happy, nurturing environment and that is largely due to the energy and work of Debbie Clute. She would be a great addition to any child care staff or any other endeavor.
I had the pleasure of working with Debbie for several years, during her time at CSI. She is a valuable, go-to leader and always willing to go the extra mile. As a client of BAC, Debbie went above and beyond and completed all projects with a high level of thoroughness.I had the pleasure of working with Debbie for several years, during her time at CSI. I worked with Debbie at Central States Indemnity for approximately 7 years. Being a part of the IT team, I worked closely with Debbie on several projects.
